Home again, home again, jiggety jig.

Well the last few weeks have been hell on wheels. First the shed was late being built which meant it took us an extra week to get our furniture into a position for long term storage. Every piece had to be wrapped in Builders plastic for protection and then stacked in such a way as to ensure it wouldn’t be crushed. Fingers crossed it will stand the test of time and emerge unscathed when we settle down in a couple of years.

I then proceeded to finish off the last lot of painting at my sons house which included doors, windows and architraves – yuck. This alone took me quite a few days. Having started this renovation 3 years ago I must say I thought it would never end. The results are pretty good though considering it was my first attempt at a full reno.

The last few jobs included creating an outdoor patio oasis for Jessica to house my plants, outdoor setting and bbq trolleys. This involved, paving, painting and repotting of plants. Hard labour but I am now happy to report that plants and furniture both will survive and thrive in their new home.

Thankfully after nearly 3 weeks of hard yakka the time arrived to leave Jessies front lawn and launch ourselves into the great unknown. It is sad to say goodbye to everyone but in no time I am sure we will be again catching up especially with all the trips our friends and family have planned to wherever we are in the East.
